Eid festivities will begin after the sighting of the crescent moon on Thursday evening.  

This holy day is celebrated by breaking the 30-day long fast, known as Roza with a grand feast and festivity. 

Every year, on this auspictous day, friends and family meet and greet each other on this auspicious day, and several delicacies are prepared.

This year, Eid ul-Fitr in India is expected to begin on the evening of June 14, Thursday and end on the evening of June 15, Friday.
